Monthly Shadow Guidance – Death & Regeneration

Hello everyone, welcome to your new Shadow Work guidance of the month, where I pull a shadow card for you to contemplate and a support card for how you can work this shadow aspect into your life with better understanding and more acceptance.

This month we are dealing with the Shadow found within the Death card, paired with Regeneration.

If you are into divination yourself you can pull the Death card out of your deck and do a 3 card spread underneath it to reveal how this aspect shows up in your personal life.

Hello everyone, I’m here to give you all an update on something a little bit different, my very own Tarot deck. What? Why? Well, after almost 2 years of working on this, it is now done and up for sale!

Leo Moon Spread

Hey Moonchild! I’m back with another Moon cycle spread in preparation of the Dark & New Moon in Cancer that will happen this Monday. The second Dark Moon Cancer in a row, just before Leo season starts. (The Dark Moon in Cancer happens the 20th at 5.34pm UT). This is the eleventh spread in my Lunar Cycle series. I hope you’ve all been enjoying it so far but if you are not familiar with working with the moon I encourage you to read my blog The Moon.

For this spread I used my own creation, Inner Dimensions Tarot.

Leo Energy

Leo is ruled by the Sun. The sign represents the inner child, creativity and passionate self expression. Leo energy isn’t afraid to show it’s pride, or to let you hear its roar. Like it’s ruler, the Sun, Leo loves to shine and be seen. So any creative pursuits, connecting with others and reconnecting with your inner child are great things to do during Leo season. Leo is a Fixed sign like Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus, meaning they know how to stand their ground.

Cancer Moon Spread

Hey Moonchild! I’m back with another Moon cycle spread in preparation of the Dark & New Moon in Cancer that will happen this weekend. (The Dark Moon in Cancer happens the 21st at 6.41am UT). This is the tenth spread in my Lunar Cycle series. I hope you’ve all been enjoying it so far but if you are not familiar with working with the moon I encourage you to read my blog The Moon.

For this spread I used the Golden Thread tarot and Supra Oracle.

Cancer Energy

Cancer is ruled by the Moon. The sign represents the nurturing, emphatic ‘mom’ energy. It may appear tough on the outside but is actually very soft and sensitive on the inside. Cancer is really good at taking care of others, being emotionally supportive. Like it’s ruler, the Moon, Cancer is very changeable in its state. So self care, and taking care/supporting others is great during this time, but also, nurturing projects that require a lot of care to come to fruition are good things to do with Cancer energy. Cancer is a Cardinal sign like Libra, Capricorn and Aries, meaning they are more leading signs.

Sól & Máni – Gender in the Craft

Would you be confused if I told you the Sun is a Goddess and the Moon is a God? Well that is what I’ll be talking about in this Deity Feature! I’ll be discussing the Northern European Solar & Lunar pair, Sól and Máni.

Because it is now also pride month, and I came out as non-binary last month, I decided to write about Gender in witchcraft a little bit, from observation and my own experiences. It may not seem related to these 2 deities, but that’s where the personal bit comes in.

I will start off with the deity feature, and maybe you’ll find my personal addition an interesting or inspiring read.

Please bear in mind that I’ll try to give you as much factual information about this pair, but I cannot fully discuss them without adding my own experiences to it, so a large part of this should be considered UPG (Unverified Personal Gnosis)

Gemini Moon Spread

Hey Moonchild! I’m back with another Moon cycle spread in preparation of the Dark & New Moon in Gemini that will happen Friday. (The Dark Moon in Gemini happens the 22nd at 5.39pm UT). This is the ninth spread in my Lunar Cycle series. I hope you’ve all been enjoying it so far but if you are not familiar with working with the moon I encourage you to read my blog The Moon.

Gemini Energy

Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury. The sign represents a lot of mental energy, curiosity but also the duality of things. Gemini is really good at seeing both sides of the coin at once, which may make it seem conflicted, contradicting or indecisive at times. Like it’s ruler, Mercury, Gemini is very focused on mental processing. They need to work with mental stimulation, so reading, learning, researching, (and social interactions) are all very good things to do with Gemini energy. Gemini is a Mutable sign like Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, meaning they are more adaptive signs.

Deity Feature: Frigg, Freyja & Frijo

Back with another Deity Feature! This time I will be discussing Frigg, Freyja & Frijo. In this blog I will discuss them separately but also why in my own practice I see them as one and the same. These 3 goddesses have very high ranking roles in Northern/Germanic tradition and as a loyal follower I’m eager to introduce them to you.

Please remember while I aim to supply you with as much factual information regarding the topic as I can, I cannot discuss these things without adding my own experiences and thus some things should be considered UPG. Furthermore, there are things in regards to Heathen reconstruction we simply do not know for sure and it is therefore of importance one does their own research and makes their own conclusions based on that.

Shadow Work – Shadow Repression & The Persona

I recently got a couple people asking me to write more about Shadow Work because there’s not a whole lot out there (a lot of it is more of the same) and not everything is as easily applied to one’s own practice. In this blog I want to talk about what shadow repression is and why this is serious, and how we can use the Persona related to it, to make a start in our own shadow work.

If you are not familiar with the concept of shadow work I suggest you to read this introduction post first. Since I wrote that initial post I decided to take a course on the subject to both strengthen my own knowledge and experiences, as well as be able to help guide others through it. I hope this and future posts will show part of my dedication to walking the shadow path and be of help to yours.
